Bessie’s Hope enhances the lives of nursing home/assisted-living residents and at-risk youth. Volunteers, of all ages, are trained and given communications tools, with which to have mutually rewarding interaction with all cognitive functioning levels, including advance Alzheimer’s Disease. Loneliness is replaced by volunteers eager to listen to the elders’ wonderful stories. An infinite ripple effect occurs when youth leave the rut of violence and turn toward a brighter future as compassionate adults.

Freedom Service Dogs Inc
Freedom Service Dogs, Inc. rescues dogs from area shelters and custom trains each dog to assist people with disabilities. The custom trained service dogs assist their partners in day-to-day activities providing their human companions with a greater degree of independence and an overall higher quality of life.
